What is the deadline for registering or changing my registration for the 2026 election?
Online voter registration will reopen on July 7, in the meantime, you can register at your local polling place! Get instructions about registering by clicking here.
How can I request a mail-in ballot? When does it need to be requested by and when does it need to be submitted?
Request a mail-in ballot for the General Election.th. A ballot must be postmarked by 8pm on election day (November 3th). Click here for instructions on how to request a mail-in ballot.
When and where does early voting take place in Montgomery County?
Early voting is from June 11 to June 18 at 14 locations in Montgomery County including: the Marilyn J. Praisner Community Recreation Center, Sandy Spring Volunteer Fire Department and Damascus Community Recreation Center Social Hall. You can vote at any Montgomery County early voting site if you vote in the county; click here for locations and addresses. If you’d like to learn more about early voting, click here.
Where can I drop off a completed ballot?
There will be 54 ballot drop boxes where you can bring your filled-in ballot. Click here for all of the locations.
